On May 22, 2022, the US-CHINA RESTAURANT ALLIANCE (u-cra.com) hosted the 5th Annual International American Chinese Cuisine Forum at the McCormick Place in Chicago, coinciding with the 101st National Restaurant Association Show (NAR). The forum attracted the attention of many exhibitors.

The theme of the forum was “Take Precautions to Embrace the New Era of Global Chinese Cuisine Development”. The forum focused on the current Chinese food market environment and discussed the development prospects of the Chinese catering industry. The forum aimed to keep pace with the times, address the problems and opportunities faced by the overseas Chinese catering industry, strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between the Chinese catering industry at home and abroad, and make a positive contribution to the development of the Chinese catering industry.

The opening speech was delivered by Hu Xiaojun, the Chairman of US-CHINA Restaurant Alliance, followed by a speech from Bian Zhichun, the Vice Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in Chicago. Chairman Zhen of Chinese Association also gave a speech. Exhibitors from various countries in the catering industry and people from related industries actively participated in the forum. They discussed the problems and opportunities faced by the catering industry after COVID-19 and jointly promoted the recovery of the catering industry and win-win cooperation.

The International American Chinese Cuisine Forum invited seven speakers to share their expertise, in line with the theme of “Take Precautions to Embrace the New Era of Global Chinese Cuisine Development”. The outstanding figures in 2022 were selected and awarded honorary certificates at the meeting based on votes from all walks of life.
